Aldeburgh is well known for its association with the composer Benjamin Britten, his inspired annual Arts and Music Festival is held at the nearby Snape Maltings, attracting many well known names and visitors. A convenient town for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast, just a short drive away are the towns of Southwold and Woodbridge as are the villages of Thorpeness, Orford, Dunwich and Walberswick.

The RSPB reserve at Minsmere is easily accessible and a 15 mile journey south you will find the Sutton Hoo Anglo Saxon Burial Ground, one of Britain's most important and atmospheric archaeological sites.
